ABOUT
Nimer Rashed is an award-winning filmmaker currently working as Lead Director of Harlan Coben’s MISSING YOU for Netflix / Quay Street Productions, following his work directing three episodes of FOOL ME ONCE, one of Netflix’s all time top ten most viewed shows.
His career in drama started as a child actor, when he worked across TV, film and theatre. He went on to write for stage and screen, winning the Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award at the International Emmy Awards.
After his first short film BAGHDAD EXPRESS featuring Riz Ahmed played at festivals worldwide, his short film TOUCH won the UK’s biggest short film competition, the Virgin Media Shorts Grand Prize (awarded by Shane Meadows and judged by David Tennant).
Training on the BBC TV Directors Academy led to work directing shows such as THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL for Tiger Aspect / ITV and MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE for PBS Masterpiece / Alibi.
He has also worked as voice/performance director for a number of AAA and indie video games.
Nimer is a member of BAFTA and Directors UK, and is represented by Jack Thomas at Independent Talent.
